The Tokyo Skytree - 東京スカイツリー

The Tokyo Skytree, that soaring architectural marvel that pierces the Tokyo skyline. Whether you’re a photographer seeking the perfect shot or simply a curious traveler, these spots offer unique perspectives:

Classic Photo Spot at Azumabashi Bridge:

Just outside Asakusa Station on the Toei Asakusa Line, the view from Azumabashi Bridge is a classic shot. You’ll see the Sumida River, the golden Asahi Beer headquarters, and the Skytree standing tall behind it.

Depending on the angle and time of day, you can capture various scenes—the Skytree reflected on the water’s surface or framed against the city lights. For a less urban feel, head to the plaza next to Asahi Beer’s headquarters.

SkyTree Reflection from Jukken Bridge:

About a 10-minute walk from the Skytree, Jukken Bridge is a small but popular photo spot. Here, you can capture the Skytree’s reflection.

To achieve this shot, you’ll need a super wide-angle lens or a fisheye lens. Alternatively, if you have an iPhone 11 or a similar smartphone, adjust the lenses to capture both the Skytree on the ground and its reflection in the water.

Evening or nighttime provides the best light for beautiful reflections.

Collaboration with Seasonal Flowers from Sumida Park:

Sumida Park, a short walk from Asakusa Station, blooms with seasonal flowers—cherry blossoms in spring and hydrangeas in early summer.

From the Asakusa side, you’ll have an unobstructed view of the Skytree towering over the Sumida River. It’s a picturesque scene, especially during cherry blossom season.

Scenic Beauty Along the Kiyosu Bridge:

The Kiyosu Bridge offers another angle. As you cross, take in the Skytree framed by the cityscape. The juxtaposition of modernity and tradition is captivating.

Capture the energy of Tokyo—the constant movement, the blend of old and new.

Looking Up at Tokyo Skytree with Kawazu Cherry Blossoms:

During the Kawazu cherry blossom season (usually February to March), head to the Skytree area. The pink blossoms against the tower create a magical sight.

Find a spot where the blossoms frame the Skytree—your Instagram feed will thank you!

So, my fellow adventurer, whether you’re snapping photos or simply soaking in the view, the Tokyo Skytree invites you to connect with the city’s pulse. It’s a timeless symbol against a dynamic skyline—a beacon that bridges past and present. 🗼🌆✨
